P5–7 enjoyed two fantastic days with their friends from Carnlough IPS as part of the Shared Education programme. The sessions focused on STEM and Flight and the pupils were buzzing with curiosity from start to finish.

They explored the history of flight, learned how aviation has changed over time and investigated the four forces of flight that help aircraft rise, glide and land.

The children took part in lots of hands‑on science experiments and their teamwork, problem‑solving and engineering skills were put to the test as they worked together to build their own model planes.

A huge thank you to Tony Monaghan for leading such an engaging workshop and to
Ruairí Óg CLG and
Gaeil Ruairí Óg agus Gaeil na Glinntí for the use of their facilities and resources.

Two brilliant days of learning, collaboration and creativity for everyone!
