Thank you to Hugo and Mark from Cushendall Fire Station for visiting our Key Stage 2 pupils to teach them about fire safety.
The children learned how to minimise the risk of fires in the home and what steps to take if an emergency occurs.
The firefighters also talked with the pupils about other important safety measures, including staying safe on the farm, being observant and responsible on the road and keeping safe at the seaside.
Hugo and Mark provided Safety Packs for the children and even set some homework for the pupils and their parents: to test their smoke alarms and plan an escape route.
We are extremely grateful to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service for the invaluable work they do in our community
